1. Purpose of processing personal information

   The website of the Korea Information and Communication Promotion Association processes personal information for the following purposes. The processed personal information is not used for purposes other than the following purposes, and if the purpose of use changes, prior consent will be sought

   1. ① The information subject (referring to a legal representative if under the age of 14) may at any time exercise the right to view, correct, delete, or suspend personal information held by the Korea Communications User Information Portal
   2. ② The exercise of rights under paragraph (1) can be made through written, e-mail, and mock-up (FAX) in accordance with Article 41 (1) of the Enforcement Decree of the Personal Information Protection Act, and the Korea Communications User Information Portal will take action without delay
   3. ③ The exercise of rights under paragraph (1) may be made through an agent such as a legal representative of the data subject or a person who has been delegated
   4. ④ The rights of the data subject may be restricted under Articles 35(4) and 37(2) of the Personal Information Protection Act
   5. ⑤ Requests for correction and deletion of personal information cannot be requested if other laws and regulations stipulate that personal information is subject to collection
   6. ⑥ The Korea Communications User Information Portal checks whether the person who made the request for access, correction or deletion, or suspension of processing is himself or a legitimate agent

7. Article 7 Procedures and Methods for destroying personal information

   In principle, the website of the Korea Information and Communication Promotion Association will destroy the personal information without delay if the purpose of processing personal information is achieved. The procedure, deadline, and method of destruction are as follows

   1. 1. Procedure for destruction

      • After achieving the purpose, the information entered by the user will be transferred to a separate DB (separate documents in the case of paper) and stored for a certain period of time in accordance with internal policies and other related laws and regulations. At this time, the personal information transferred to the DB is not used for any other purpose except by law

8. Article 8 Measures to Secure the Safety of Personal Information

      • Records connected to the personal information processing system (web log, summary information, etc.) have been stored and managed for at least a year, and security functions are used to prevent access records from being forged, stolen, or lost

   5. 5. Encryption of personal information

      • Users' personal information is encrypted, stored, and managed. It also uses separate security features such as encryption and use of important data when storing and transmitting

   6. 6. Technical measures against hacking, etc

      • In order to prevent personal information leakage and damage caused by hacking or computer viruses, the Korea Information and Communication Promotion Association installs security programs, periodically renews and inspects, installs systems in areas where access is restricted from the outside, and monitors and blocks them technically and physically. It also detects attempts to illegally change information as well as monitoring network traffic
