Select a business operator and a rate system

Setting mandatory obligatory use period, supporting price, terminal price, cancellation charge calculation methods follow the individual company agreement, so confirmation is important when signing up

Cancellation charge(Including discount return) paid when cancelling the contract is calculated by Support fund, remaining agreed period, agreed period generally, but it is different according to company or product

Agreement Discount return is one of the cancellation charge, and it means paying the discounted amount when cancelling the contract during the agreed period. It is not applied to all companies, products so it is better to check before signing up

Minor’s sign up

When a minor is using a mobile phone, guardian(legal representative in civil law)’s consent is essential, and the company can require additional documents like legal representative’s ID card, family relation certificate, consent.
Contract concluded without the guardian’s consent can be required to be canceled, and it is not necessary to pay charge and cancellation charge
Contract for minors can be used when minors are signing up for a mobile phone, and state the relevant contents in the clause and other contents like minor rate system
It is recommended to sign up for the mobile phones for minors in their own name for blocking harmful contents

Benefits including exemption of charges

Mobile phone charges can be reduced or exempted to ease the burden of household communication costs for socially vulnerable groups with low incomes, such as basic living recipients and the second-highest class. In the case of national merit and organizations, there are cases where each telecommunication company is more supported than the legal target (contact the telecommunication company because the subject and application are different for each telecommunication company)
If it has not been three months after changing carriers or names or new membership, the users cannot subscribe to change another carrier
Users can raise objections to the applicable business operators or Korea Telecommunications Operators Association if there is damage of good will due to injustices including illegal change related to changing carriers and cramming.

Mobile insurance

It is a service provided by mobile carriers through partnerships with insurance companies, and supports a certain portion of the cost of changing the timing of accidents (losses, damages) and repair costs for mobile phones subscribed to this service
Those eligible for insurance can subscribe within 30 days of changing new and compensation devices, and may be restricted from subscribing to Altteulphone (MVNO), prepaid phone subscribers, and USIM exclusive opening, but need to be checked by telecommunication companies
It is automatically terminated after the expiration of the service subscription for two years, and the compensation limit is exhausted through full loss guarantee and loss compensation, or it is automatically terminated in case of compensation or service termination

How to subscribe

If you select a business operator, the proper service, and a rate system, you can subscribe to the service by visiting the applicable commercial agency or web site
A user should submit the access agreement and the identification card which proves himself/herself or a representative to the applicable branch or agency to make the membership contract
The company can restrict membership of the users with the facts which are related to subscription by other names, submission of false contents, cancelation due to illegal spam, and cloned phones, illegal uses of other’s names, and copy
When you sign contracts, you should check the parts that you should separately do including stipulations with basic contents of contracts meticulously
