Check charges for using the service

  • If phone bills are sent to you, you should check if fees are exactly charged as the rate system that you made the contract in membership

    The services that you can experience for free can be unilaterally charged when they are changed to the charged services without going through the confirmation procedure of customers. You should check the details of bills carefully

    Please check if you, families, and visitors used video on demand (VOD) or subscription channels meticulously

  • If you apply with documents proving that you are eligible for welfare benefits, such as the disabled, independence fighters, bereaved families, or recipients of basic living, you can receive fee reduction benefits

  • There are charges for using the services (the basic type, the diffusion type, and the economic type), installation charges, and purchase money of equipment in bills of general satellite broadcasting

    Charges for using the services : It’s the charges that you pay for use of real time broadcasting channels provided by business operators. Charges and channels are different according to product types including the basic type, the diffusion type, and the economic type

    Installation charges : It’s the charges that you pay for new installation or changing installation places

    Purchase money of equipment : It’s the charges that you pay for purchase costs of receivers to receive broadcasting

    PPV charges: It’s the charges that you pay for watching Videos on demand (NVOD) per view and series

Information on change of usage contents

  • The business operator is not allowed to change channels and channel packages unilaterally. If there are changes related to channel packages, it should announce them officially for more than 15 days before and after the changes through the company’s internet web site

Information on use of subscription channels and VoD (Video on Demand) of satellite broadcasting

  • In case of partial subscription channels, adult members who are more than 19 years old can purchase products. In case of general satellite broadcasting, security systems to limit receipt of minors are installed in receivers
  • VoD means the service that users purchase and use various contents by program provided by the business operator. In case of general satellite broadcasting, PPV(Pay per view) types of NVoD(Near VoD) are provided
  • PPV is the products that members receive movies, sports games, and events by program or series and pay for them. You can purchase them by using remote control and phones and over the internet

Change and pause of contract details

Change of contract details

  • If contractors try to change contract details including their names, contact information, how to pay for usage fees, service types, installation places, they should submit application forms for change and identification cards to carriers
  • If users’ positions are succeeded to others because of inheritance, the persons who succeeded to the positions should notify business operators of the facts. The business operators can ask them to send the relevant documents to protect them. And in this case, the users should submit the applicable documents to them
  • In case of general satellite broadcasting, if users try to change installation places, they should ask the applicable business operators to do them and bear the expenses which are necessary for transfer

Pause

  • If you try to stop use of the service temporarily, you should ask the applicable business operators to do it by setting the periods. The period and frequency that pause is allowed are different according to business operators. You should check the applicable business operators’ terms and conditions

    Three times per year, within total 90 days

  • The periods which are applicable to pause are not included in usage periods. And the charges for using the services during these periods are not charged. But, if installment remains, installment of receivers is charged.

Dispute settlement standard in case of service error (2019)

  • When there is a service error in using IPTV, the compensation standard is stated in the company’s service clause, and it may be different depending on the company
  • According to Consumer dispute settlement regulation(2014), which is the minimum standard of the compensation, when service error over 1 hour has occurred more than 5 times a month, or when the accumulated time of suspension and error is over 72 hours a month, cancel the contract without paying the installation charge exempted and discounts
  • As a compensation, deduct the amount calculated by multiplying the non-received days to the daily charge from the charge of this month. When the user did not receive the service for more than 5 days in a row or more than 7 days a month, the charge for the month is exempted
  • The error occurrence time is based on the time that the user reported the error to the company, but if there are other evidences that are beneficial to the user, it is based on that evidences. However, when service was suspended due to force majeure(Like natural disaster) or advanced notice form the company(Line construction), and user’s intention or mistake, the period is excluded from calculating the suspension, error time
